Welcome to the official page of the Omicron Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated!

As the 2024-2025 President of this esteemed chapter, it is both an honor and a privilege to represent a group that embodies excellence, dedication, and a commitment to service. Since our charter in 1990 at Tulane University, Omicron Psi has proudly carried forward the legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the very first African American sorority. Our mission has always been to uplift and empower communities through a steadfast dedication to service, leadership, and sisterhood.

Our chapter is committed to exuding leadership, promoting social justice, serving our community, and supporting academic achievement. With a diverse range of programs, such as our financial literacy and mindfulness programs and community service initiatives with organizations like Grace at the Greenlight and Greenlight Nola, we strive to make a meaningful impact both on Tulane’s campus and within the New Orleans community.

We are particularly excited to introduce you to our ongoing and upcoming events, which are designed to engage, inspire, and build lasting connections. Our initiatives under the “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” banner, guided by our International President, Danette Anthony Reed, reflect our unwavering commitment to these core values and our vision for a brighter future.
