Jalexis Evans

Madam Treasurer

Jalexis Evans is a current senior studying Chemistry with minors in Studio Art and Mathematics on the pre-medicine track. She is from Mound Bayou, Mississippi where her mom, and late grandmother, are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Jalexis serves as our chapter’s Treasurer and is also Chairperson for the Budget and Finance Committee and Homecoming Committee along with serving on the Homecoming, Membership, Programming, & Community Service Committees. On-campus, she is president of Tulane’s National Pan-Hellenic Council, a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity, a member of Tulane’s Global Brigades chapter, a student worker, and a research assistant for Dr. Vijay John working on topical vaccine delivery. Outside of Tulane, you can find Jalexis volunteering, tending to her plants, and helping prepare children in communities, like her own, for college. In the future, she hopes to go to medical school to obtain an MD-PhD degree and pursue a career in Pediatric Oncology while conducting research on reproductive system diseases.
