Spring 2019 Initiate
Amanda Diaz is a senior and first-year graduate student majoring in Public Health. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, she is a first-generation college student and Posse Scholar here at Tulane. On-campus, Amanda is the School Site Director of Tulane WYSE (Women and Youth Supporting Each other) at Langston Hughes Academy and an intern at Tulane Technology services. This summer Amanda is interning for New Orleans City Council member Helena Moreno’s office and the Louisiana Department of Health while continuing her work with Tulane Technology Services. After graduation, Amanda plans on completing her Master’s in Public Health. A fun fact about Amanda is she is a freelance makeup artist of 5 years. Her hobbies include reading and spending time with friends and family!
